SAS 70 (Statement on Auditing Standard 70) certification represents that a service organization has been through an in-depth audit of their control objectives and activities including controls over information technology and related processes.

Axletree is SAS 70 Type II certified and our certification is kept current through semi-annual audits and re-certifications. The audit encompasses procedures, policies and other controls used in delivering the SWIFT solutions. The certification is customized for delivery of SWIFT connectivity outsourcing services and also covers general operating procedures, physical security, data security and confidentiality, data backup, disaster recovery and long term business continuity plans.

SWIFT has established a SERVICE BUREAU POLICY with associated security requirements in the SERVICE BUREAU RULES and GUIDELINES, expected as a baseline level of control for each service bureau. The Policy statement contains explicit provisions for compliance verification by SWIFT personnel and is authorized by SWIFT.

The audit report is a testimony of our compliance with SWIFT mandated guidelines, and is approved by the Chief Auditor of SWIFT. SWIFT distributes this report to the SWIFT National Member Group Chairperson.
